Shri K Venkataraman (Chairman)
Shri K. Venkataraman, 64 is a Master of
Science in Agriculture and also a Fellow of Indian
Institute of Bankers.
He has a very successful banking career having joined as
a Probationary Officer in SBI in September 1978 and
having worked in various assignments there including and
later as a Chief General Manager in State Bank of India
till May 2011. His assignments in SBI include CGM of
International Banking Group, Mumbai from February 08
till February 11. He then joined and worked as
Managing Director of Karur Vysya Bank Ltd from May 2011
to August 2017.
He has handled the assignments as Vice-President (Credit
& Operations), Treasury and Funding operations, ALM and
Investment Banking and Loan syndication for four years
in Japan in SBI. He has also handled Merchant Banking
at SBI Corporate centre, Mumbai for more than two years.

He has successfully lead Karur Vysya Bank Ltd., to
greater business levels as Managing Director for more
than six years till August 2017.
He has joined Coastal Bank as Addl. Director on
16.12.2017 and has assumed charge as Chairman
of the Bank from 1.11.2018.

Shri B. Venu Gopala Reddy (MD & CEO)
Shri B. Venu Gopala
Reddy, 60, B Com, PGDM, CAIIB is a professional
banker with over 36 years of experience with State Bank
of India (SBI), the largest commercial bank in India and
ranked among the top 50 Global Banks. He hails from a
farming family in Krishna District. He has completed his
graduation in Commerce from Andhra Loyola College,
Vijayawada, Post-Graduation in Management from IIPM, New
Delhi and completed CAIIB after joining banking service.
He joined SBI as a P O in
1981 and was elevated to the position of Chief General
Manager (CGM). He has rich and varied experience in
diverse fields of banking, such as Treasury, Investment
banking, Corporate finance, MSME credit, Agriculture
finance, Retail operations and Financial inclusion in
different geographies, including Singapore. He
specialised in Treasury operations and headed Global
Markets of SBI, overseeing its investment portfolio of
over Rs.4 trillion. He headed the Retail operations of
SBI in Odisha as CGM of Bhubaneswar Circle before
retiring in March'18. He worked as Visiting Professor at
NIBM, Pune until taking up a career @ Coastal Bank.
He served as Chairman of
Foreign Exchange Dealers Association of India (2014-15),
Vice-Chairman of Fixed Income Money Market & Derivatives
Association of India (2008-10) and as an Independent
Director (2018-19) on the Board of Capital Region Urban
Transport, Bhubaneswar, a SPV promoted by Government of
Odisha.
He joined Coastal Bank as
President & COO on 18-01-2019 and assumed charge as MD &
CEO on 25-01-2019. |

Shri B S Purshotham (Independent Director)
B Sai Purshotham (55),
B.Com., FCA, is appointed to the Board on 25th March
2019. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 32 years
standing and is Senior Partner of B. Purushottam & Co.
His professional experience encompasses auditing &
assurance and business/management advisory services to
diverse mix of corporate clients including banking and
Public sector enterprises. He is also active in the
field of tax representation and appearance before Income
Tax Appellate authorities. He is an active member of the
global association of accounting firms, Integra
International.

Shri
A N Appaiah (Independent Director)
Shri A N Appaiah (61), B.Sc.(Mathematics)
and CAIIB. He has over 39 years of illustrious banking
career. Joining as a PO in SBI in 1978, he rose to the
rank of a Chief General Manager and held various
important assignments in Treasury (Forex & money
markets), retail and commercial banking. He has vast
experience in foreign exchange as Treasury Head @
Frankfurt, Chief Dealer of Foreign Dept. @ Kolkata and
DGM(forex) @ Global Markets, Mumbai. In the retail
banking he functioned at various levels in different
geographies as Regional Head @ Raipur, AGM of Commercial
Branch, General Manager of a Network (of 500 branches) @
Hyderabad and Chief General Manager of Ahmedabad Circle
controlling over 1200 branches. He was appointed in 2015
as MD&CEO of SBI DFHI Ltd, a Primary Dealer for the RBI,
with operations in Govt. Securities, Bonds and Debt
instruments. Post retirement in 2017, he is actively
engaged in Social work with focus on rural education &
health, as a volunteer for an NGO in Tamil Nadu. He is
currently a Director on the Board of Financial
Benchmarks of India. He also held the positions as
Chairman of FEDAI, Chairman of FAI and as Director on
the Board of PDAI. He is appointed as a Director on the
Board on 18.05.2019. |

Shri Balaji Gopalakrishnan (Independent Director)
Shri Balaji Gopalakrishnan (47) was a Managing
Director at Credit Suisse, New York from 2004
through 2018. Before that he was in Goldman Sachs
for several years. Mr. Gopalakrishnan has a Masters
in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic
University of New York (NYU) and a Bachelors in
Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology.
He has extensive experience in modelling, trading
and marketing of various financial products and
complex securities. He is also a Chartered Financial
Analyst (CFA). He is appointed as a Director on the
Board w.e.f. 12.06.2019.
