Coastal Bank is directly regulated by Reserve Bank of India. The Bank is subjected to regulatory supervision and control. The Bank complies with all supervisory advices/guidance.
The Bank is subjected to regulatory prescriptions such as Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR), Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR), External Benchmarking of loans etc.
Deposits of the customers are insured under Deposit and Insurance Scheme of DICGC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Reserve Bank of India.
Shri Balaji Gopalakrishnan has a Masters in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University of New York (NYU) and a Bachelors in Engineering from Coimbatore Institute of Technology.
Mr. Gopalakrishnan was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, New York between 2004 and 2018. Before that he was in Goldman Sachs for several years.
He has extensive experience in modelling, trading and marketing of various financial products and complex securities. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
He is appointed as a Director on the Board of Coastal Bank with effect from 12.06.2019.
