Shri K Venkataraman (Chairman)
Shri K. Venkataraman, 64 is a Master of
Science in Agriculture and also a Fellow of Indian
Institute of Bankers.
He has a very successful banking career having joined as
a Probationary Officer in SBI in September 1978 and
having worked in various assignments there including and
later as a Chief General Manager in State Bank of India
till May 2011. His assignments in SBI include CGM of
International Banking Group, Mumbai from February ’08
till February ’11. He then joined and worked as
Managing Director of Karur Vysya Bank Ltd from May 2011
to August 2017.
He has handled the assignments as Vice-President (Credit
& Operations), Treasury and Funding operations, ALM and
Investment Banking and Loan syndication for four years
in Japan in SBI. He has also handled Merchant Banking
at SBI Corporate centre, Mumbai for more than two years.

He has successfully lead Karur Vysya Bank Ltd., to
greater business levels as Managing Director for more
than six years till August 2017.
He has joined Coastal Bank as Addl. Director on
16.12.2017 and has assumed charge as Chairman
of the Bank from 1.11.2018.

Dr. Jayaram Chigurupati
Dr. Jayaram
Ch,
51, was the Managing Director of Zenotech Laboratories
Limited, Hyderabad. An MBA from Cornell (1994) and a PhD
in Biochemical Genetics (1988) from Iowa-USA, Dr Jayaram
has had a distinguished career both in science and
industry. He has published several articles in
peer-reviewed journals. He had a stint as
Associate Consultant with the Wilkerson Group, New York
and as Technology Transfer Consultant at the Centre of
Advance Technology, Cornell University, Ithaca, New
York. He was also founder and Vice-President of
Viral Therapeutics Inc., New York, where his
responsibilities included development and marketing of
recombinant proteins for therapeutic and diagnostic use.
He was also the Executive Vice President of Emerging
Businesses (Biotechnology, Oncology and Diagnostics) and
International Branded Formulations Marketing at Dr.
Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, Hyderabad, India. He
has been instrumental in establishing Dr Reddy’s
presence in many emerging markets of the world. He was
also the Managing Director of Zenovus Biotech (a wholly
owned subsidiary of Dr. Reddy’s). After leaving Dr.
Reddy’s Labs, he promoted Zenotech Laboratories Ltd in
2003, a listed company in Bombay Stock Exchange.
His penchant for serving the small and micro sectors
besides helping the lower economic strata of people is
well known.

Shri Biplab K. Das
Shri Biplab K. Das, 60, has served in a
multitude of strategic functions in Private, Corporate
and Investment banking, in virtually all major
financial centers of the world- New York, Toronto,
Zurich, Basel, Hong Kong, Singapore and Channel
Islands - during his long career with two of
Switzerland’s largest global banks. In his last
assignment as a Director at Credit Suisse, Biplab was
instrumental in the structuring, and worldwide
distribution of some of the world’s most successful
Microfinance and Base of the Pyramid investment
products.
An MBA (1978) from New York University, Biplab is a
member of the advisory boards of JfC- a UK-funded
support group for social entrepreneurs and BJS – a
non-profit MFI based in Kolkata. He has also volunteered
in East Africa for a global Microfinance Institution.
He joined the Bank as
Director in February 2011. He has taken charge as
Part-time non-executive chairman of the Bank w.e.f
15-12-2011.

Rajeswara Rao
Shri B V V Rajeswara Rao, M.A. C.A.I.I.B. is banker with
more than 35 years of experience in State Bank of
India. He has specialisation in lending to SME and
Retail Banking. He was on the Boards of
Associate banks between 1997 and 2000.
He joined State Bank of India as Probationary Officer in
1972 and worked as Field Officer, Branch Manager, Lead
Bank Officer, Manager and Chief Manager. He was special
secretary to CGM, Hyderabad – Driving Image building
process through community services and innovative
banking practices. He worked as AGM, Vijayawada and
Regional Manager, Vijayawada. He also worked as Deputy
General Manager, Zonal Office, Mumbai and Corporate
Centre Mumbai. He worked as DGM & Senior Faculty, State
Bank Staff College, Hyderabad.
Sri B V V Rajeswara Rao joined the Coastal Bank as
Director in August 2013.

Shri B. Venu Gopala Reddy (MD - CEO)
Shri B. Venu Gopala
Reddy, 60, B Com, PGDM, CAIIB is a professional
banker with over 36 years of experience with State Bank
of India (SBI), the largest commercial bank in India and
ranked among the top 50 Global Banks. He hails from a
farming family in Krishna District. He has completed his
graduation in Commerce from Andhra Loyola College,
Vijayawada, Post-Graduation in Management from IIPM, New
Delhi and completed CAIIB after joining banking service.
He joined SBI as a P O in
1981 and was elevated to the position of Chief General
Manager (CGM). He has rich and varied experience in
diverse fields of banking, such as Treasury, Investment
banking, Corporate finance, MSME credit, Agriculture
finance, Retail operations and Financial inclusion in
different geographies, including Singapore. He
specialised in Treasury operations and headed Global
Markets of SBI, overseeing its investment portfolio of
over Rs.4 trillion. He headed the Retail operations of
SBI in Odisha as CGM of Bhubaneswar Circle before
retiring in March'18. He worked as Visiting Professor at
NIBM, Pune until taking up a career @ Coastal Bank.
He served as Chairman of
Foreign Exchange Dealers Association of India (2014-15),
Vice-Chairman of Fixed Income Money Market & Derivatives
Association of India (2008-10) and as an Independent
Director (2018-19) on the Board of Capital Region Urban
Transport, Bhubaneswar, a SPV promoted by Government of
Odisha.
He joined Coastal Bank as
President & COO on 18-01-2019 and assumed charge as MD &
CEO on 25-01-2019. |
